Your bag isn’t part of your outfit

Your bag isn’t part of your outfit

How do you match a bag to your outfit?

I love crossbody bags for their utility, but I don’t really consider a bag to be part of my outfit. Shoulder bags and top-handle bags are even more detached from a look.

With the shrinking of bags and bag mania of the early pandemic, there’s been so much content about how to match a bag to your frame or your outfit.

I hope for an era in which we enjoy bags, but we’re not placing these strict rules about them.

If you’re short and love big bags, go for it. If you’re tall and love tiny bags, enjoy. They’re not part of your look, not really, not in terms of elevated fashion.

My advice is to remove them for photos, or photograph them separately. They deserve their own portraits anyway.
