Living in LA means sweater season is precious – those few perfectly crisp days when you can finally wrap yourself in cashmere. Since these pieces spend most of their time stored away, it's even more important to care for them properly when they do need attention. After much experimentation (and a few learning experiences), I've developed a care routine that maximizes results while minimizing effort. Here's what works for me.

The De-Pilling Revelation

Pilling after a few months of wear versus pilling a month after de-pilling with a cashmere comb

Let's start with my most surprising discovery: sometimes the "proper" tool isn't the best solution. In a month-long test comparing a traditional cashmere comb to a basic razor, the results were striking. The combed section actually developed more pills than before treatment, while the razor-treated area remained perfectly smooth.
